Once installed:
Ctrl-Alt-Del (exit to prompt)
xwin enlightenment

If this dumps you back to the console reload your old WM (type 'xwin jwm' if your not sure about this) then run 'enlightenment' in the console. This should hopefully tell you what's not working.
