PuppyLinux: Java Runtime Environment

Java Runtime Environment runs programs written in Java. Not to be confused with JavaScript.

Install the appropriate package.
For the Shinobar package see, download directory information on Shinobar's Java thread
For the watchdog package see, jre-7u10-i586.sfs download information on watchdog's post

Packages may also be available in the SlickPet/QuickPet app.

Verify the installed version via the command-line interface:
```
java -version
```

Applications may need to be configured and re-started after J.R.E. installation, e.g.:

Enable Java: Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Java

Enable Java: Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Enable Java

Enable Java: Tools > Options > Content > Enable Java

Enable Java: Tools > Quick Preferences > Enable Plug-ins
Enable JavaScript: Tools > Quick Preferences > Enable JavaScript
