Rox is powerful, quick and easy
for example, there are people who want a 2 pane file manager ... maybe they don't realize you can get 2 Rox windows with one click of the mouse?
anyway, there should be some rox tips here, probably with some pictures
for example:
click a folder with the middle mouse button (both buttons together simulates middle button) to open a new window
click the Home icon with the middle mouse button to open a new Home dir window
click the up arrow with the middle mouse button to open a new window showing the parent dir
drag with the middle button to get a menu (copy, move, link)
to create a symlink, just drag with the middle mouse button
click a file with the middle mouse button, and it will close the rox window automatically
you can drag file(s) to a rox icon, and it will open the file(s) with the run-action-command
for example, you can select some mp3 files, and drag
(and from the command line, you can type: "rox readme.txt" to open the file using the default rox action)
you can set a bookmark by pressing ctrl+0 to ctrl+9 ... to change the rox dir to that bookmark, just press the number key: 0 to 9 (it will even remember which files are selected)
if you add partitions to fstab, you can mount/unmount them by holding shift and clicking the mount point
you can bind a key to a menu item ... for example, right-click a file, move the mouse over the Delete menu item, and press the D key ... you can now select any files and press D to delete them
you can put programs in the sendto menu ... for example, you can select 3 or 4 pictures, hold shift and right click to get the sendto menu, and send the pics to mtpaint ... or mp3s can be sent to gxine
