If you don't know what Xfce∞ is: it's a complete desktop environment∞ (window-manager, desktop, panel, taskbar, session-manager...), it's lightweight, it's good looking (see image), very flexible (you can use only the parts you want, move the panel where you want it...).
You can save sessions (all windows get reopened at startup) and the window-manager uses smart window positioning (i.e. new windows don't
just open in the middle of the screen, but in an unused part of it).
Just try it and see...
You can add Xfce to Puppy yourself using a dotpet or sfs file; or you can try a Puplet that comes with Xfce already installed.
